Scholarship Program
Big Horn Rural Electric Company, in cooperation with Tri-State Generation and Transmission, Inc., and Basin Electric Power Cooperative, offers educational scholarships to recognize and encourage the continuing education of the cooperative’s member-students.
Applicant must be a dependent of a current member of Big Horn REA or a dependent of persons currently receiving electric service to their primary residence from Big Horn REA. Scholarship Application Form
Mike Lowe Memorial Lineman Scholarship
In memory of Mike Lowe, the Board of Directors of Big Horn Rural Electric Company has designated a Mike Lowe Memorial Lineman Scholarship to encourage, promote and educate line workers for careers with Wyoming electric cooperatives.

Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license. Applicants do not have to be members of electric cooperatives.

Colorado Electric Educational Institute – Cooperative Youth Leadership Camp
Every year Big Horn chooses several member-students to participate in an “energy camp”, all expenses paid, located at Glen Eden Resort near Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Students form and participate in a co-op complete with a board of directors and manager that are selected from and by the students.

Wyoming Rural Electric Association Washington, D.C. Youth Tour
Students that have participated in the Youth Leadership Camp may be eligible for an all-expenses paid trip to Washington, D.C.
