Your Voice, Your Cooperative: District Meetings

As a member-owner, you have a unique opportunity to shape the future of your Big Horn REC. District meetings are the cornerstone of our cooperative's democratic process, providing a direct line of communication between you and your leadership.

These annual gatherings are more than just business meetings—they are a chance to stay informed, ask questions, and exercise your rights as a member.

2026 District Meeting Schedule

  • April 27: District 5 Meeting at Deaver Town Hall
  • April 28: District 1 Meeting at Burlington Fire Hall
  • May 11: District 4 Meeting at Meeteetse School Cafeteria
  • May 13: District 3 Meeting at Ten Sleep School Cafeteria
  • May 14: District 2 Meeting at Shell Community Hall

** All meetings start at 5:30 pm, with a dinner to follow.

What to Expect

Each meeting is designed to be informative and engaging. Typically, the agenda includes:

  • Officer Reports: Insights from the Manager and Board members.
  • Director Elections: Voting for representatives within your specific district.
  • Q&A Sessions: An open floor to discuss the topics that matter most to you and your family.
  • Food & Fellowship: Many of our meetings include a meal or refreshments as a thank-you for your participation.
